Notice is hereby given that the Sumter County School District will conduct a public review and evaluation meeting for an additional instructional material selection regarding the Career and Technical Education (CTE) adoption cycle.
This meeting is held in accordance with Florida Statute 1006.28 and Florida Statute 1006.283, which mandate transparency and public access to the selection process for instructional materials used in Florida public schools.

Purpose of the Meeting
The District Instructional Materials Review Committee will meet to evaluate the proposed curriculum for Business and Entrepreneurship Principles. This session serves to ensure that the materials align with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) state standards and meet the rigorous requirements for Career and Technical Education.
Public Access and Input
Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting to observe the evaluation process. In compliance with Section 1006.28(2)(a)2., F.S., the school district provides the following:

Material Access: Opportunities for the public to examine the specific instructional materials under consideration.

Public Comment: A designated time for parents and Sumter County residents to provide input regarding the proposed materials.
Note: Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Board or Committee with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings. For such purposes, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.
